My First Time Sailing

On Wednesday morning we went to Okahu Bay to do sailing. It was great and so much fun too
We learnt how to sail a boat and to wear a buoyancy vest to be safe. The name of the sailing coaches were Steve, Justin, and JR.

Our boat was called an Optimist (or Opti), you needed to balance the Opti because if you didn't balance the boat you would into the water. The second boat was a called Topaz (or Taz). The Taz is the same as the Opti boat but bigger and had no back to it. We did some fun activities while we were sailing. It was my first time sailing and I realized how amazing it was to ride in a boat. I know that I want to learn more and I feel happy because I learnt so much my first time sailing.

Many Thanks to the Lion Foundation, Rotary, Volvo and Zhik for sponsoring the day.

My Dinosaur

I made this
Dinosaur because it looks cute.
It is a regular size
Dinosaur, not so big and not so
small. It has a not so long tail
because I’m afraid of long tails.

“ Making play dough with my Friend”

Yesterday, Monday 18 of march room 8  made shiny green play dough for our St Patrick's day celebrations.

We put the ingredients into the bowl and we stirred it with a knife and with our hands. Some of the play dough was very sticky and stuck to our hands. We added flour to the shiny green play dough so it wasn’t as sticky.

When the play dough wasn’t sticky we put it on the table and we rolled it into a long snake. Once it was long enough we made it into a spiral which twisted in a circle.

When the spiral was finished we played a game by blowing a polystyrene ball around our spiral. I felt very happy because we played a game with the shiny green play dough.
